“Before Enlightenment chop wood carry water, after Enlightenment, chop wood carry water.” Zen saying
Yesterday was World Cancer Day. A day to recognize and acknowledge all of those who struggle with a diagnosis of cancer. There was a lovely image on the Internet of a candle with the message to share the light of healing and hope.
But tomorrow is past and this day and tomorrow and for many days to come, many of you are still facing the fear and pain of cancer in your life. You may be the one who has cancer, you may be the partner or family member or friend dealing with someone who has cancer. What is sadly true is that for those who are touched by cancer .. . it’s still a “cancer day.”
Light a candle … today

May the world be free from the suffering of cancer.
