“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”

I have been honored over this past week to witness others tell the stories of their experience with cancer. Some came to my workshops while others talked to me privately. I am full of gratitude for these courageous people who have opened their lives to me. Tomorrow, we will all depart for different places and go our separate ways into our day to day worlds. Whether or not we meet again, I’ll carry them within me always.
Today you might consider finding someone you trust to truly listen and tell them your story. What I know is that both of you will walk away with a full heart.
You don’t need to carry your suffering alone …

Cheryl,
What a lovely, heartfelt response to your week at Rancho La Puerta. So often people don’t know how moving it is to be the recipient of a confidence. It’s such an honor, really, to be the holder of a person’s precious and intimate story. It does change us and makes our life richer when true words are spoken.
I have no doubt your presence and spirit touched those who opened up to you. You are a gift.
love,
wilma
